I Know Kung Fu

This semester has been intense. 14 credit hours all crammed into 11 weeks. Actually, half my classes were 11 weeks and the other half were 8. The last week of class is here and the last three months is feeling like I’ve been hooked up to the computer and had all the course content forcibly downloaded into my brain. I think it overwrote something important. I’m looking forward to the break. I’m going to go see Real Madrid kick the crap out of Real Salt Lake this coming weekend. I’m going camping in the Windriver Mountains in Wyoming. And I’m going to start watching all the movies and TV on DVD I’ve been loaned. I have Smallville and Battlestar Galactica and Regenesis and I might watch some Stargate SG1. You know, geek shows.

In other news, I’ve rediscovered my love of programming. I had to do some PERL for my Unix class and I have been helping a fellow student with some Java. I haven’t done any real coding since C++ class last fall. I miss it. It makes my brain work, but in a good way.

Also, today is Heather’s birthday. I have to brag and tell you I got her an iPod. A 30GB black one. I even had a special message laser engraved on the back. I know: Ahhh! How sweet! What can I say? I love her. Happy Birthday, Princess!
